Heritage Family Foods became a reality in 1991, when Daniel and Cheryl Brackeen opened the doors to their 36,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant in Grand Prairie, Texas. Today, the facility has grown to 65,000 sq. ft.
Their experience in the food industry spans more than 40 years. Daniel received his undergraduate degree in Dairy Manufacturing and a Masters in Food Technology from Texas Tech, while Cheryl received a degree in business administration. With Daniel’s extensive knowledge in the Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt (TCBY) industry, coupled with Cheryl’s banking and business background, Heritage Family Foods was born. To this day, Daniel and Cheryl continue to operate Heritage Family Foods under these principles: Faith in God, Honesty, and a Commitment to provide quality products and services to their customers.
Amy Brackeen Keller, VP of Quality Assurance, is also a graduate of Texas Tech with a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and continues her family’s traditions in the food industry.
